All three Dwarikesh plants now registered with NLDC

Mumbai: Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(DSIL), is engaged in the business of sugar, which have now been registered with NLDC. It has three State of art plants, all located in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Its commitment to the cause of environment is manifest from the fact that two of its plants are already registered with UNFCCC for generation of carbon credits.DSIL has now added a new feather in its cap. All its three plants with captive power generation capacity of 30 megawatts are now registered with National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC) for generation of Renewable Energy Certificates (REC).

RECs are saleable and transferable credit certificates which are traded on Power Exchanges. RECs are issued for renewable energy generation. DSIL generates renewable energy as it uses bagasse as fuel which is not only bio-degradable but also environment friendly.

The registration with NLDC adds an exciting new dimension to the business model of Dwarikesh. Sale of RECs will open up a new revenue stream and will bolster its top-line and bottom-line.
